Life is hard.

You deserve support to make eating easer.

By now you know:

  • Long-term research shows that 97% of intentional weight loss attempts lead to weight regain and/or disordered eating behaviors within 5 years.

  • Neither is your productivity or your ability, but that’s a conversation for another day.

  • It’s delicious fuel, a way to connect with others, a creative outlet, and a self-love ritual.

BUT.

  • No matter how hard you try, you still dread having to figure out what to eat .

  • Each meal is emotionally exhausting - will it make your symptoms worse, or better?

  • Sometimes it feels easier to just NOT think about food…but then your symptoms flare up and you know that’s not an option.

  • You’ve convinced yourself in the past that if you just keep going, things will get better…but now you’re not so sure that’s the case.

  • You want to honor your bodies needs, without getting obsessive.

  • Everything feels overwhelming, and you’re stuck in a cycle of caring too much about your nutrition and feeling too tired to do anything about it.

You’ve tried all the things and nothing is working for you.

You have a sneaking suspicion that how you eat isn’t “normal” and that you need some sort of intervention.

When you try to “listen to your body,” you’re not getting useful information - it seems like there’s too much going on and you aren’t sure where to start…

or you don’t get ANY feedback - it's like static in there. 😬

You’ve been told by doctors to go on restrictive diets to “fix” your body.

Then you’ve been told by intuitive eaters to eat whatever your body wants.

But after trying both,

you feel like crap AND

you still don’t know what you’re doing.

Wouldn’t it be amazing if:

  • You no longer feel confused when listening to your body

  • You know how to translate what your body is saying into actionable steps

  • You start to physically feel better, as you nourish your body more effectively

  • Your confidence around food increases, to the point where it’s no longer something you stress over

  • You start to participate in the thoughts that drive your behaviors

Let’s work through this together!

Hey there.

I’m Sarah, and food used to stress me out, too.

After surviving undiagnosed depression and eating disorders in my teens and early 20s, I transitioned into a very confused state of being.

  • I didn’t trust myself, and wasn’t aware that I was highly dissociated and had little understanding of what my body was communicating or how to honor those needs.

  • I outsourced my power and decision-making to nutrition “gurus” and documentaries, and didn’t have the knowledge to fact-check anything.

  • I embraced more extreme lifestyles as I went, because I didn’t think basic nutrition principles would be “effective enough"“ (read: extreme enough) for me to see “results.”

  • I even got a master’s degree in nutrition, thinking it would unlock some secret knowledge that I’d never encountered before, in order to lose “the last 20 pounds.”

Fast forward a few years - I’ve established a private nutrition practice (with that master’s degree which did give me a lot of knowledge - just not the kind I was expecting), and I guide people who desire to build sustainable habits from a place of self care.

I have lots of experience working with folks who have any combination of:

  • PCOS

  • endometriosis

  • PMDD

  • depression

  • anxiety

  • ADHD

  • autism (level 1)

  • thyroid dysfunction

  • type 2 diabetes

People who work with me want to eat without restriction, but find that symptoms (mental and physical) get in the way.

When we explore why this is a problem for them, we discover that confusion about body signals and lack of self-trust are the core problems.

Once we address those and start consistently nourishing the body, we see an immediate improvement in confidence around food and symptom improvement!

There are 3 essential skills you need to nourish your body:

Awareness

You need to create the physical + mental space to feel calm enough to listen to your body. You have to allow yourself to breathe (literally and metaphorically) so you can translate what your body is trying to tell you.

Trust

Once you know what your body needs, you have to practice giving it just that. Over time, this builds trust. You’ll start to feel confident in your self care choices and behaviors. You’ll realize you were the expert you needed, all along.

Application

From your foundation of awareness and trust, you can know which nutrition principles in your life need more attention. You can build sustainable habits that feel supportive, and you’ll be able to adapt as your body’s needs change over time.

Each of these skills can be found in our support community and resource center, Nourish + Connect.

Nourish + Connect is a place where you can share your struggles, get answers about your symptoms, and make friends with other folks working on their self care.

You’ll learn how your body uses food to do really cool things, how chronic stress, trauma, food insecurity, and family dynamics impact your eating behaviors, and how to start making change in your daily actions that lead to feeling better over time.

You can experience Nourish + Connect in two ways:

Past participants say:

“The lack of pressure in this program gave me more space to explore at my own pace, so I could find neutrality in my food choices and start to recognize that factors outside my control don’t necessarily mean catastrophe.”

“I’ve started to deconstruct my idea of what counts as “healthy” food, and just eat food that fuels my body.”

“Nourish + Connect was just the program I needed…Sarah is not only knowledgable in the science of nutrition, but she knows how to hold emotional space for her clients.”

“I was surprised by how challenged I was during the grounding practice. This changed how I look at listening to my body, and I feel like a different person when I eat now.”

“I loved the flexibility to make food my own adventure, instead of a structure I have to stick to all the time.”

“I’m so motivated by thinking of food as mood fuel, and surprised by how much sleep affects my hunger signals.”
